Irene Ambrus
March 1927 – November 2008

(Member since September 1942)

Irene AmbrusWe were deeply saddened to learn that one of your most devoted church members and lifetime Federation supporter Mrs. Irene Ambrus passed away. The Federation was always heartened by the exemplary activity of Mrs. Ambrus, a loyal Branch 35 member, who freely volunteered her time, energy and resources whenever the opportunity arose. Whether participating in Join Hands Day to help others, enjoying good fellowship at our community picnics, or donating generously to the Appalachian Project and Operation Christmas Child, she embodied the highest ideals of love, understanding and service to community which have guided our Federation since it was founded 113 years ago. It is with a sense of humility, therefore, that on behalf of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America, I convey a warm Thank You to Mrs. Irene Ambrus. Thank you for sharing with us — your family, your friends, your congregation and the wider community — your life, your kindness, your commitment, and your will to involve as members under the Federation umbrella your Husband, Children and Grandchildren. As you come to eternal rest, please know that your good deeds were not in vain. Your memory will be cherished, your benevolence carried on by those whom you loved, with special meaning by the Federation you held in such high esteem.
