Kari Reda
Branch 151
(January, 2009)
My name is Kari Reda. In the spring of 2008, I graduated with an associate’s degree in Liberal Arts/Humanities at the Community College of Beaver County. I am now a junior at Clarion University of Pennsylvania, where I am majoring in Library and Information Sciences. After Receiving my Bachelor’s degree I plan on entering Clarion’s Library and Information Sciences Graduate program. I hope to one day work at a Junior High or High School library. So far, I am proud to say I have earned a place on the Dean’s List every semester since I started college.
At Clarion, I am Public Relations Officer of the Nair Hall Council. I am also a member of the Phi Sigma Sigma sorority. My sorority may be the smallest on campus, but we are the most active in the community. As a member, I do a lot of volunteer work. I am also Phi Sigma Sigma’s Multicultural and Diversity committee head.
I have been a YMCA lifeguard for four years. I have also been donating blood regularly to the American Red Cross for four years.
I would like to thank Joe and Peggy Fabri for the recommendation and the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America for granting me this scholarship. Thank you for your help in furthering my education.
Kari was recommended by Director Joe Fabri.
