Lindsay Sosnowski
Branch 31
(August, 2007)
On behalf of having the opportunity to be a recipient for the student aid scholarship; I would like to thank the HRFA and Branch Manager Emma Aros.
I am currently a sophomore at Ohio University where I am majoring in Hearing, Speech, and Language Sciences and double minoring in Spanish and Linguistics. I’m working on my bachelors’ degree, but plan on attending graduate school to become a Speech Pathologist. I hope to study abroad in either Spain or Mexico, spring quarter of my senior year. This spring quarter I am joining Habitat for Humanity so I can be more involved on campus.
During my senior year of high school I had the opportunity to participate in the Lorain International Princess Pageant. It was a great experience being able to represent my Hungarian Heritage. I also took Hungarian dance lessons and performed at the Lorain International Festival. I defiantly can say I had a tremendous exposure to the Hungarian culture and it has left an amazing impact on my identity.
Thanks again to Emma Aros and everyone at the HFRA who helped make this generous contribution available to me.
