Nicole Nicholas

Branch 227
(May, 2007)

I am very grateful to the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America for offering the financial aid to me. I would like to thank my grandparents for helping me to keep my Hungarian heritage. My grandfather, Bill Nicholas, is serving on the Board of Directors of the HRFA, and my grandmother, Marge Nicholas, is the Branch Manager of Branch 227, Warren. I have many fond memories of helping and working at many church functions, projects, and activities through the HRFA, including attending church camps and Bible seminars. I took much pride in the programs to help our veterans at the VA hospital and also the needy people in the Appalachian region.
Presently, I am attending Kent State University, located in Kent, Ohio, as a sophomore, and plan to become a high school social studies teacher following in my grandfather’s footsteps. In addition to going to school full time, I am working at the Dining Services on the campus to help pay for my college tuitions.
Thank you for your help in furthering my education. Because of my love of children, I’m looking forward to the day when I become a teacher.
