Most of my life, I have been an athlete, and I planned on being a student-athlete after high school until a knee injury halted my football career. Once I realized that I wouldn’t be playing football, I knew I had to keep myself active so I took part in many intramural sports including flag-football and basketball.
Both of my grandparents were Hungarian with all of my mother’s side of the family being Hungarian as well. My grandfather was a hard-working man in order to provide for the family as my grandmother was a stay-at-home mom taking care of the family. Both of them instilled a Hungarian tradition strongly into their children, teaching responsibility and gratitude to ensure success in our society today. I truly appreciate this opportunity that the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America has provided and accept the Federation’s generous gift toward my studies with gratitude.
